Retirement Age to Increase
RETIREMENT AGE TO INCREASE
What is Changing?
As part of the package of new pension rules, the government has stated that it intends to increase the age at which you can draw your workplace pension (not your State Pension), currently 55, to 57 from 2028 (and then increase it in line with the rise in the State Pension age).
Who is Affected?
All of us, but it will not apply to Public Sector Pension Schemes for Firefighters, Police and Armed Forces.
